A snowfall warning has been issued for the Richmond area late tonight, through to at least Tuesday lunchtime.
According to Environment Canada, between 10 and 15 centimetres is expected to fall, starting before midnight on Monday at its weather station at Vancouver International Airport.
The wind chill factor is also forecast to cause temperatures to feel like -13 overnight Monday into Tuesday at YVR in Richmond.
A little sun and cloud is forecast to materialize Tuesday afternoon, with Wednesday expected to be sunny, but with a high of just -9 and an overnight low of -13.
Thursday will see periods of snow later in the evening, through to Friday morning.
Environment Canada forecasts wet snow for Christmas Eve on Saturday, before temperatures start to rise throughout that day, resulting in expected rain and a high of six degrees on Christmas Day.
