Heavy traffic in Richmond after lights out on Oak Street

Traffic is heavily backed up along Highway 99 this morning due to lights that are out in South Vancouver.

While crews are currently on scene and working to repair the lights at Oak Street northbound at 70th Avenue, the left lane is completely blocked and commuters heading out of Richmond on the Oak Street Bridge are facing major delays.

Traffic is currently backed up along Highway 99, northbound, just past Westminster Highway.

Drivers heading for the Knight Street Bridge northbound are also facing delays, with vehicles backed up to the East-West Connector.

There is also a crash on Steveston Highway eastbound at No. 5 Road.
