Highway 99 southbound at Cambie now open

The stretch had been closed since yesterday after a commercial truck's load smashed into an overpass and fell on a truck

Highway 99 southbound at the Cambie overpass has now opened, after a commercial truck collided with the bridge yesterday afternoon.

According to DriveBC, the southbound route re-opened to traffic at around 6:15 a.m.

The westbound lane on the overpass, however, is still closed for repairs.

It has been closed since yesterday, along with the Cambie Road overpass, after the incident, understood to have been caused when a truck’s load slid off and onto a passing pick-up truck.
