Should London-Steveston Neighbourhood Park add a bocce lawn? Another baseball diamond? A waterpark? A playground? How about just another big, old field?

The park will absorb the old Steveston secondary school’s 4.5-acre field as 133 townhouses are slated to replace the school itself.

The City of Richmond wants to hear from you as to how it will be shaped.

Parks manager Mike Redpath said the consultations will be an “ideas fair” so the city can gauge what kind of combination of “passive or active elements” the park should have.

The first open houses are Feb. 12 from 7-9 p.m. and Feb. 14 from 1-3 p.m. at Steveston-London secondary school.

You can also go online to LetsTalkRichmond.ca to scribe your comments.

Already planned are two public pathways connecting the park to No. 2 Road, via either side of the townhouses.

No elements of the old park will change, said Redpath.
