Popular Richmond 'whale of a book sale' returning this weekend

All proceeds will benefit Richmond public libraries.

Friends of the Richmond Library is bringing back its "Whale of a Book Sale" this weekend.

Local book lovers will get to shop from a wide selection of low-cost books and support Richmond public libraries at a big book sale this weekend.

Friends of the Richmond Library's popular two-day "Whale of a Book Sale" will be held at Thompson Community Centre from Saturday to Sunday, with all proceeds going to local public libraries.

Books available include English and Chinese books, used and like-new, in adult fiction and non-fiction genres such as art, music, biography, classics, Canadiana, cookbooks, crafts and hobbies, history, war, sports, as well as geography and travel.

Children's books and more will also be available.  

Shoppers are asked to bring their own bags or boxes and sales are cash-only.

The book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday at the address 5151 Granville Avenue. More information is available on the Friends of the Library Book Sales page.
