Richmond RCMP are appealing for dash-cam footage or eye witnesses after a woman was struck and seriously injured by a dump truck at a Steveston intersection on Monday morning.
On Nov. 4, a woman was crossing westbound at No. 2 and Steveston Highway when she was struck by a dump truck turning north onto No. 2 Road from Steveston Highway.
The pedestrian sustained "significant injuries," RCMP said, and was transported to hospital where she still remains.
Neither speed nor impairment are considered factors in the collision.
Richmond RCMP Criminal Collision Investigative Team with the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) attended and processed the scene.
Richmond RCMP collision investigative team is seeking witnesses or dash-cam footage from anyone who was in the area of No. 2 Road and Steveston Highway between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.
