Richmond RCMP blocked off part of Cambie Road Saturday (Dec. 19) morning due to an “police operation.”
Cambie Road was closed between No. 5 and Jacombs roads for a few hours as police carried out their operation.
The road has since reopened.
Mounties did not say why they were on scene, however, Richmond RCMP told the Richmond News that the operation was pre-planned, and is part of an active and ongoing investigation.
There is no risk to the public and the road closure allows police to “safely conduct their operation,” RCMP said.
