According to a Twitter post, the body was retrieved from the river by the police at the Imperial Landing dock in Steveston.
Richmond RCMP confirmed that its marine unit assisted with the recovery of the body from the river.
"At this time, investigators have a possible identity, and, once confirmed, they will be making a next-of-kin notification," said Cpl. Ian Henderson, media relations officer with the Richmond RCMP.
"Foul play is not suspected at this time."
