Richmond RCMP trying to identify suspect in alleged assault

A man allegedly struck an employee at a Richmond business multiple times in the face.

Police in Richmond are trying to identify a suspect in an alleged assault.

Richmond RCMP is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in an alleged assault.

Police were called to a business on No. 3 Road, between Saba and Cook roads, shortly after 7:15 a.m. on Sept. 20 for an alleged assault.

Officers were told an unknown man entered the store and began interacting with a fellow employee, according to Cpl. Adriana O'Malley, media relations officer at Richmond RCMP.

The man then allegedly assaulted and injured the employee by striking him in the face multiple times.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Filipino male, five feet, five inches tall, with a heavy build, short slicked-back black hair and a short black moustache beard.

He was wearing a white T-shirt with a small Adidas logo, light blue jeans, a long silver cross necklace, white Adidas sneakers and was carrying a black and red backpack,

Richmond RCMP frontline officers are investigating the case.
