There has been a COVID-19 exposure at another Richmond school.
In an email to parents Wednesday, Richmond Secondary said it was notified that there was an exposure to the virus.
Richmond Secondary School had exposures from Oct. 7 to 9, according to Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)’s website. VCH worked with the school to determine any exposure to members of the school community. Anyone identified as a close contact has been contacted by VCH and asked to self-isolate.
“At this time, there is no evidence to support there has been any exposure to the wider staff or student community,” the email reads.
The school is unable to provide specific details of the case due to privacy reasons, according to the notice.
Any areas of Richmond Secondary that “may have been impacted” have been deep-cleaned according to the school district’s health and safety protocols, the email reads.
“Please be assured that our school and district will continue to implement the strict protocols and procedures we have in place so that students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible.”
