A Richmond team has returned from the recent Special Olympics BC Winter Games with a haul of medals.
The Games, hosted in Kamloops last week, attracted more than 500 athletes 500 from across the province, along with more than 100 volunteer coaches and another 700 plus volunteers.
Richmond speed skater Nicholas Chow’s neck was very heavy after the Games, coming home with no less than three bronze and two gold medals.
While figure skaters Matthew Lai and Abraham Wong both won a gold medal.
And the Richmond Avalanche floor hockey team picked up a bronze medal, beating Kamloops and Delta on the way to the podium.
