A severe wind warning has been issued for Richmond and other coastal regions of the Lower Mainland.
Environment Canada issued the warning on Sunday, with winds of 70km/h to 90km/h expected by the evening.
Winds are expected to pick up this afternoon as an “intense Pacific cold front” will be across the south coast and shift to a strong northwest direction before easing overnight.
“Damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows, may occur,” said Environment Canada’s website.
