Richmond archers medal in provincial, national championships

Seven medals were brought home by the Richmond's Rod and Gun Club archery team.

Several archers from Richmond medalled in the provincial and national outdoor championships this past summer.

Richmond Rod and Gun Club archers Alexandre Desemery and Alex Ignatius both won gold at the B.C. Outdoor Archery Championships held in Prince George from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.

Desemery and Ignatius took part and placed first in the recurve and compound archery events, respectively.

Archer Frank Hu won silver in the recurve category at the same event.

Meanwhile, archer Raymond Huang took home three silvers in target, field and 3D field events at the Canadian Outdoor Championships.

The national championships were held from Aug. 2 to 10 in Fredericton, N.B.

At the same event, archer Greg Moore won bronze in the field event.
