Oct. 10 was World Squash Day and the non-profit Sunshine Squash Club in Richmond hosted a COVID-friendly event that cultivated squash spirit among new learners and brought together the sport’s community.
This was done by the organization through two sessions, the first consisting of 15 participants who had no any squash experience and the
Club members first led participants to get ready with stretching and fun warm up games, then taught basic swinging, movement, and hitting techniques, and finally got all the new players experience playing on court.
Further on, intermediate players from the second group of the event had the chance to play squash with top juniors in Canada.
