Two Richmond Olympians are heading to Hungary later this month for the 2023 World Athletics Championships.
Camryn Rogers and Evan Dunfee are part of the 50-strong roster announced by Athletics Canada on Thursday.
Rogers will be competing in hammer throw while Dunfee will be participating in the 20 and 35-kilometre race walk events.
“I am definitely hoping to keep building the momentum, get in there and do better than last year,” said Rogers, who won silver in women’s hammer throw during last year’s championships.
“Last year, being able to medal was so amazing and such a privilege. I can’t wait to go back and show off everything we’ve been doing this year and leaving it all on the field when it counts.”
The World Athletics Championships will be held in Budapest from Aug. 19 to 27.
