A popular local donut shop is the latest addition to Vancouver International Airport's (YVR) growing food scene.
To celebrate National Donut Day on June 7, YVR announced Lee's Donuts' expansion to the airport set to take place this summer.
"Showcasing their irresistible creations, including the ever-famous Honey Dip, we're so excited for this beloved local B.C. favourite to arrive at the airport later this summer," reads YVR's post on social media platform X.
The new location will be in YVR's AB Domestic Departures pier, next to the food hall in the post-security area.
The YVR outpost will mark Lee's second location in Richmond. The first one, at Imperial Landing in Steveston, is also expected to open in summer.
The donut shop found its beginnings at the Granville Island Public Market in 1979 by husband and wife duo Betty-Ann and Alan Lee.
It was sold to long-time customers Allan and Celine Bacani in 2014 and has now expanded to four more locations across the Lower Mainland.
