Expect delays on Highway 99 at the Steveston Interchange and Massey Tunnel in Richmond.

Richmond motorists should expect Highway 99 delays and detours on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

The slow lane of southbound Highway 99 will be closed through the George Massey Tunnel overnight from 10 p.m. on June 18 through 5 a.m. on June 19.

BC Hydro requires the lane closure to continue repairs on its equipment within the tunnel.

Northbound counterflow operations at the tunnel will be in place on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, northbound and southbound lanes on Highway 99 at the Steveston Interchange will be closed on Wednesday night for construction.

The closure will begin at 11 p.m. with lanes to re-open on Thursday at 5 a.m.

During this time, traffic travelling on the highway will be detoured using the on- and off-ramps at Steveston Highway.

Commuters can expect normal counterflow operations on Thursday morning at the tunnel.

Drivers are asked to use caution when going through the detour.
