Youth can be nominated for the annual Richmond U-ROC award.

During BC Youth Week, the City of Richmond is looking to recognize an exceptional youth and an adult who champions youth.

Nominations are now open for the U-ROC awards.

The “outstanding youth” award will go to a youth aged 13 to 24 who displays leadership, has overcome barriers and shows a commitment to making a difference in their community.

Furthermore, an adult, aged 25 or older, can be nominated for the “asset champion” award. This adult shows dedication to supporting youth and goes "out of their way to inspire, mentor and make a positive difference in the lives of youth,” the city said in a press release.
