Photos: Blood moon total eclipse seen from Richmond

Community members captured photos in awe at the blood red moon on March 13.

Residents of Richmond and across Metro Vancouver were blessed with clear skies to see the total lunar eclipse last night.

The sight of the eclipse, also called a blood moon, started around 11:25 p.m. and lasted until half past midnight, resulting in a "red-coloured" moon.

By 3 a.m. the moon returned to its normal colour.

Several Richmond community members captured photos of the event and have shared them with the Richmond News.
