Residents of Richmond and across Metro Vancouver were blessed with clear skies to see the total lunar eclipse last night.
The sight of the eclipse, also called a blood moon, started around 11:25 p.m. and lasted until half past midnight, resulting in a "red-coloured" moon.
By 3 a.m. the moon returned to its normal colour.
Several Richmond community members captured photos of the event and have shared them with the Richmond News.
