A running and walking club for seniors recently held a Christmas donation drive for the Richmond Food Bank.

The Richmond Forever Young Club handed over a cheque for $3,650 to the food bank last week, exceeding its $3,500 fundraising goal.

Club founder John Young told the Richmond News club members "never hesitate to help out" and the donation was "a very nice contribution from a relatively small community club of active seniors."

Forever Young encourages active lifestyles and social interaction by hosting regular exercise meetups for local seniors.

It holds an annual donation drive for the food bank every Christmas.
