A local non-profit recently donated $10,000 to support Richmond Hospital’s new medical imaging centre.
The donation came from Dare to Dream (D2D) Destiny Foundation, a Richmond-based organization dedicated to mobilizing youth to give back to the community.
“We are proud to support our local hospital team who, we know, takes great care of patients and families. We want to help further enable the health care teams provide the best possible care for those who need it at their most vulnerable times,” said Nicholas Chan, Richmond resident and member of D2D Destiny Foundation.
Chan added that he is grateful for the quality of care provided to his family by the Richmond Hospital, especially the Emergency Department’s medical team.
The donation brings the Richmond Hospital Foundation one step closer to its goal of raising $20 million to fund the latest medical imaging technologies for the new Milan & Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre. The new centre is set to open in 2028.
“It is inspiring to witness the passion and philanthropic effort of youth and their families in supporting our community,” said Spencer Gall, Richmond Hospital Foundation campaign director.
“Thank you to Nicholas and the D2D families for your donation and for helping equip our health care teams with the technologies needed to make a positive impact for individuals and families in Richmond.”
