“Nobody puts Babie in a corner,” is the message Richmond’s BC SPCA shelter is sending out.
Babie, a three-year-old domestic short-hair, has gone through a “remarkable” transformation during her time at the Richmond Animal Shelter, according to shelter staff.
She is now ready to find her fur-ever home.
The brown tabby was “once a bit of a wallflower” until she went to her foster home, staff said.
“… she’s gone from hiding under cozy blankets to becoming a vocal and talkative kitty who adores human attention and interaction.”
Babie has been in the shelter’s care for 52 days and she thrives in the company of other cats.
The perfect fur-ever home for Babie is one that is “gentle, patient and accepting,” staff added.
Although Babie may still need “a bit of patience and understanding,” the rewards of her love and affection are “immeasurable.”
“Your TLC will be the key to unlocking the full potential of this charming feline friend.”
If you think you could be Babie’s person, here are some ways to find out:
1.) Visit the shelter to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Tuesday noon to 3 p.m., learn more about her ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or
2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set up a visit. Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hours.
