Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work on Nov. 13 and 15 of this week.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 23 customers at:
- 3291 and 3380 Broadway St.
- 11771 to 11991 Fourth Ave.
Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pole replacement will affect 11 customers at:
- 19211 and 19411 Westminster Hwy.
- 19800 Cambie Rd.
- 4200 and 5031 Nelson Rd.
Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pole replacement will affect 10 customers at:
- 8540, 8551, 8560, 8571, 8591, 8611, 8620, 8631, 8651 and 8666 Bowcock Rd.
Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 4731, 4771, 4780 and 4791 Trimaran Dr.
