Rosewood Manor held a Studio 54-themed fundraiser for its east courtyard improvement project.

A long-term care home in Richmond is one step closer to upgrading its courtyard after a Studio 54-themed fundraiser.

More than 90 community members showed up in their best disco outfits to support Rosewood Manor at the Canadian Brewhouse on June 22.

A total of $7,238 was raised through a 50/50 draw, meat draw and silent auction.

Rosewood Manor is raising $100,000 to transform its east courtyard into a tranquil space for residents and family members to enjoy quiet time together.

Funds will be used to create a new pathway with a bench, redevelop an existing walkway, create a rock garden, design a labyrinth, install a phone of the wind and redesign the courtyard's flower bed.

The care home's next fundraising event will be its annual family day celebration at Blundell Park on Sept. 7.
