Four Rotary clubs in Richmond are joining together to provide free vaccinations against flu and COVID-19 on Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second floor of Yaohan Centre shopping complex on No. 3 Road.
The vaccinations will take place at Park Pacific Pharmacy, and those who want to get their shots are encouraged to bring their government health service card for registration.
Rotarians and volunteers from all four Richmond Rotary clubs, RC Richmond, Sunrise, Sunset and Steveston will do the greeting, registration and organize seating for pre-vaccination and post-vaccination.
There will be four stations for vaccinations with a minimum of four pharmacists.
Yaohan Centre is a sponsor of this vaccination clinic, which will take place on the mall’s second floor with the support of pharmacist Liuna Li, owner of the Park Pacific Pharmacy.
The vaccination drive has been organized for people who are unable to make appointments.
Pharmacist Edwin Lee, a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen, has been running similar walk-in flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics for two years.
The Richmond clinic is drawing on his experience running these clinics, explained Walrine Wong with Yaohan Centre.
“We are so happy for Edwin donating his time to show us how to serve the community for people who are working during the week days or not sure how to book appointments by phone or online,” said Wong.
Rotary International has 36,000 clubs around the world with 1.6 million members in 190 countries.
