Steveston outdoor pool closed due to power outage

A planned outage for equipment work is affecting 48 BC Hydro customers in the area

The Steveston outdoor pool has been closed on Tuesday due to a power outage.

Anyone with cancelled swimming lessons will be contacted by staff, according to the City of Richmond.

The pool will reopen on July 31 at 8 a.m.

According to the BC Hydro outage map, a planned outage for work on its equipment is affecting 48 customers in the area west of Dunford Road, north of Moncton Street, south of Garry Street and east of No. 1 Road.

The power is expected to return around 5 p.m. on July 30.
