The executive director at Richmond’s Gateway Theatre bid a bittersweet farewell after eight long years with the theatre.
Camilla Tibbs joined Gateway in 2015 and has adopted new programming and initiatives at the theatre since then.
“Through it all Camilla has been a champion of Gateway Theatre and its important role in the Richmond community,” said Diane Purvey, Gateway Theatre board chair.
“This is something we are incredibly grateful for and wish Camilla all the best in her future endeavours.”
Tibbs concluded her last day at Gateway on May 9 and moved on to become the new executive director at the Pacific Screenwriting Program, a Vancouver-based not-for-profit organization.
In the meantime, Susan Jackson has taken on the role of Gateway Theatre’s Interim Executive Director and will look after the theatre’s operations until September when a permanent executive director is expected to take over.
