The RCMP’s B.C. Highway Patrol is looking into a report of another motorist’s window smashed by a falling object, this time in Delta.

A Delta woman’s car had its back window smashed after something fell through it as she was driving northbound on Hwy. 99 at Hwy. 17A, according to reports.

“With this incident, it’s hard to comment because we don’t have the full story,” said Cpl. Melissa Jongema who said they’ve asked other media to forward the woman’s contact information.

Instead of commenting on the incident, police will issue a statement about collision, insurance and when police attend incidents.

The Delta incident was similar to a fatal crash when a big rock hit the windshield of a vehicle on Hwy. 1 in Burnaby, on June 6, injuring 34-year-old woman, who later died in hospital.

Police said that large rock had been recovered from the scene.

The woman told CityNews Vancouver that RCMP advised her to call ICBC.
