A small boat was on fire near Steveston's Garry Point Park on Thursday afternoon.
The incident was captured on video around 2:10 p.m. on Aug. 15 with plumes of black smoke being sent to the sky from the boat near the fishermen's memorial needle.
Raynor Shima, who was in the area, said the small pleasure craft-style boat had caught on fire and "beached itself" right next to Garry Point Park.
Richmond Fire-Rescue is on scene with Richmond's Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue on standby nearby.
