The Richmond Community Foundation has received a $10,000 donation from the Vancouver Sunshine Lions Club’s fundraising gala.
The money was raised through their 8th Installation and Fundraising Gala on Oct. 2 at the Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport where there was more 300 guests and supporters.
“The Vancouver Sunshine Lions Club has been a fund holder of the Richmond Community Foundation since 2019, and they have been generously raising funds for foundation since, which will ultimately benefit the residents of our Richmond community,” said Sunny Chiu, chair of the Richmond Community Foundation.
Established in 1990, the Richmond Community Foundation is a volunteer-led not-for-profit that holds assets of about $6 million in over 60 Forever Funds. The earnings from those Forever Funds are distributed as grants to community charities and scholarships to local students.
