There’s been a change in leadership at the Richmond Chamber of Commerce.
Dan Baxter, who was hired less than a year ago as president and CEO, has left the business organization for “personal reasons,” according to a press release.
Stepping into his shoes is Shaena Furlong, who has worked at the chamber for 10 years, most recently as the director of operations.
“We thank Mr. Baxter for his work in continuing the ninety-seven-year tradition of the chamber’s commitment to furthering business in our community and wish him well in his future endeavours,” said board chair Carolyn Robertson in a press release.
Baxter was hired last year after long-time CEO Matt Pitcairn stepped down to run for the BC Liberals in the provincial election.
The Richmond Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit that represents 700 businesses in the city.
