Dear Editor,
The Steveston heritage tram 1220 should run on a route like it used to from 1905 to 1958.
The tram has been Steveston’s anchor for years. The city should be able to fully enjoy that experience again.
I know that five years ago, Mayor Brodie proposed a plan that would have resulted in the operation of a heritage tram.
Unlike those who might have been opposed, I am fully in support of Malcom Brodie’s $50,000 plan to operate a heritage tram.
I would suggest a route starting at Brighouse station and ending at Steveston central, being the current restoration display building.
Tourists flock to Richmond for two things; good food and heritage. The tram can bring back our heritage.
