It will be another few weeks before Steveston will have a new bar.
Good Co.Bars had announced on its website that it would open June 20 at its Steveston location on Bayview Street at Imperial Landing.
However, the company contacted the Richmond News to say that date has been pushed back a little to July.
It didn’t say what has caused the delay.
The company is a re-branding of the Vancouver-based Colony Bars - which operates pubs in Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant, North Vancouver, and the Granville Entertainment District – and has been trying to open at the Steveston site since the fall of 2019.
It is owned by entertainment and hospitality firm Blueprint, which bases its bars on the premise of “Keep Good Company.”
According to its website, the new Steveston bar features a 250-seat restaurant and a “year-round patio” that seats 80 people.
