Miss Teen Richmond World 2013, Danica Tan, is fundraising and looking for sponsors to cover her trip to Nationals.
Shell be hosting an event with the help of Boston Pizza on March 25.
Tan won the title of Miss Teen Richmond in February and with that began preparing for Miss Teen Canada World, the national competition in Toronto this July.
She has since raised money for the trip and for various organizations like Cardiac Kids.
Now Boston Pizza Ackroyd has created a rebate program to help her out and to fundraise for the Free The Children charity.
Whenever you order from Boston Pizza you have the option to donate to the cause.
They can then write my name on the back of the receipt and drop it off in the sponsorship bin beside the bar and I get 10 per cent back from the subtotal of their bill, said Tan. Its very easy and a great way to earn money for Free The Children.
March 25s event will be for Free The Children at Boston Pizza Ackroyd, from 5 to 8 p.m. and features face painting and a raffle draw.
On the day of the event Tan will receive 15 per cent of the customers subtotal bills.
I will be there to help waitresses and waiters serve customers their food while speaking to them, letting them know what this event is about, said Tan.
She is still looking for businesses to help sponsor the night and donate a gift for the raffle draw.
