There are two large power outages and several smaller ones across Richmond on Saturday after high winds whipped through the region.
About 2,500 BC Hydro customers are without power near No. 5 Road and Westminster Highway due to trees falling on Hydro wires. According to BC Hydro, crews are on their way.
In Hamilton, about 1,700 properties are without power. As of noon, BC Hydro hadn’t assigned a crew to this power outage.
A smaller outage in the Bridgeport area has affected about 270 properties, between Ketcheson Way and Garden City Road north of Sea Island Way.
The high winds and heavy rain have resulted in downed lines and fallen trees all across the Lower Mainland.

BC Hydro said all available crews and contractors are working to assess the damage and make repairs across the region.
