Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a 74-year-old man who's been missing for almost six months.

Walter Steeves, of Richmond, has gone missing for a few weeks or months in the past, but has always returned safe.

However, this last stretch is the longest Steeves has ever gone without surfacing.

He last spoke to someone he knows in March and the only other sighting has been Brandon, Manitoba, where he was captured on surveillance footage at an ATM.

Local police were unable to track him down.

During the course of the investigation, there's never been any indication of foul play, said Richmond RCMP.

Steeves is a Caucasian male, 5 foot 6 inches tall, of slim build, 150 pounds with short, white hair (balding), a moustache and hazel eyes.

He often wears a baseball cap, uses reading glasses and has two tattoos; one of a girl and an umbrella on his left forearm and a heart, scroll and cross on his right forearm.

Steeves is also known as Rusty, James Thorn, Wayne Draper and Walter Draper.

Anyone that knows of his whereabouts, is asked to contact RCMP at 604 278 1212, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-2228477.
