The intersection at Alderbridge Way and Shell Road was where a man was rear-ended and allegedly robbed on April 8, 2025.

An alleged robbery following a vehicle collision has Richmond RCMP looking for witnesses and dash-cam footage.

On Tuesday, April 8, a victim waved down a frontline Richmond RCMP officer and reported he had been robbed around 6 p.m. at the corner of Shell Road and Alderbridge Way.

The man was driving home when a Chevy Silverado with Alberta plates allegedly rear-ended his black 2018 Mercedes.

After exiting his car, the other driver also exited their truck and allegedly threatened him before punching him in the face.

Police were told the victim took out his phone to start filming the interaction, but the suspect took it from him and left in the Chevy truck.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6'3", wearing a baseball cap and having a British accent.

He was last seen driving away southbound on Shell Road.

"This is a busy intersection with high vehicle traffic at 6 p.m. We believe someone may have witnessed this interaction or recorded it on their dash cam," said Cpl. Adriana O'Malley, Richmond RCMP media relations officer.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the incident is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2025-10886.

Anonymous reports can also be made by contacting Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.solvecrime.ca
