The City Grant Programs support community programs that improve the quality of life of Richmondites.

Richmond's annual City Grant Programs for supporting community programs by individuals and organizations are now open for applications until Wednesday, Oct. 19.

The programs are made up of five categories - arts and culture; child care; health, social and safety; parks, recreation and community events; and environmental. All programs are open to registered non-profits and the Environmental Enhancement Grant is open to individuals as well.

Grants from past years have funded programs such as the Richmond Singers 2022/2023 concert series, playground renovations at Riverside Child Development Centre, the Wellness Connections program for assisting at-risk, frail and isolated seniors, the Dragon Boat Festival and the Richmond Garden Club’s removal of invasive species.

Details and applications for the grant programs can be accessed on the city's website. Applications for the Environmental Enhancement Grant can be submitted on a separate page. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. on Oct. 19.
