Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work on Jan. 8.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for this week:
Jan. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 10 customers at:
- 4680 and 4700 Larkspur Ave.
- 6331, 6351, 6371, 6391, 6411, 6420, 6431 and 6440 Coltsfoot Dr.
Jan. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 1801 No. 4 Rd.
- 9971 River Rd.
Jan. 8 from 9a.m. to 2 p.m. (Rescheduled from Nov. 3, 2020)
A pole replacement will affect less than five customer at:
- 21000 River Rd.
