Speeding Richmond driver gets car impounded, fined by RCMP

Ticket for three Motor Vehicle Act infractions was issued.

A driver's car was impounded after it was going above the speed limit in Richmond this week.

Richmond RCMP's road safety team caught a driver with a grey Hyundai Elantra going at 126km/h in an 80k/h zone shortly after 7:40 a.m. along Highway 91 on Sept. 15.

The driver was issued a ticket of $530 for three Motor Vehicle Act infractions.

His vehicle was also impounded for seven days.

Richmond RCMP reminds all drivers to slow down and respect the posted speed limits.
