The suspect in an alleged stranger assault in Richmond earlier this month has been identified.
Richmond RCMP asked for the public's help in identifying the suspect after an alleged "unprovoked stranger assault" on July 2 near CF Richmond Centre.
The victim told police he was walking in the area when he was allegedly punched in the face by an unknown man, according to Richmond RCMP in a media statement.
Richmond RCMP identified and arrested the suspect, but he has since been released on a police undertaking with conditions.
The police are thanking the public and media for their help.
This investigation is still active and ongoing with no further information being released.
