Motorists will need to plan extra time on their route if they are thinking of taking the Alex Fraser Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
A vehicle incident has the two middle lanes blocked on the southbound side of the bridge, according to posts on Twitter.
The incident is near the south end of the Alex Fraser Bridge. Emergency crews are at the scene.
Eastbound Highway 91 traffic is backed up to No. 7 Road. Traffic from the bridge has also backed up onto Highway 91A, over the Queensborough bridge and onto Marine Way in New Westminster.
Traffic is also backed up on Cliveden Avenue on Annacis Island.
