Richmond RCMP officers responded to the intersection for a traffic hazard and found the road was wet and a pallet of fish on a nearby sidewalk.
"A man identified himself as the owner and advised the load had come off his trailer," said Cpl. Adriana O'Malley, spokesperson for the Richmond RCMP.
"Richmond RCMP requested the assistance of the City of Richmond to spread absorbent on the liquid on the roadway to ensure it did not pose a continued traffic hazard."
No injuries, property damage or collisions were reported from this incident.
The cause is still under investigation.
