The Grauer Grade 6-7 girls basketball team enjoyed a perfect run to take top honours at the Burnett Breaker Classic Tournament.
The annual tournament is run by Burnett’s PE Incentive class and features all of the Breakers’ elementary feeder schools.
Students coordinated the entire event from the welcoming committee, to making posters, running the concession, score keeping and refereeing every game. It makes the tournament a real highlight for the Grade 7 participants.
Grauer rolled to wins over Spulukwuks, Thompson, McKay and Blair en route to the first place finish.
The team includes: Autumn Castle, Lisa Huang, Tina Lai, Yvonne Chan, Danica Datoc, Amy Peng, Jenelle Orpilla, Davian Tsang and Samantha Santos. Tsang also won the hot shot competition.
The girls are coached by Gillian Partridge.
