An impressive haul for Steveston Karate Club standout Haruki Mori led the Richmond contingent at last weekend’s BC Winter Games in Fort St. John.
The junior national team member, who is coached by Sensei Toshihide Uchiage, returned home with five medals, including a pair of gold.
Mori was on top of the podium for Individual Advance Kata and Individual Advance Kumite in the +156cm class.
He then added silver in Individual Advance Kata for open height and another in Team Kata. A bronze in Team Kumite rounded out his busy and productive weekend.
