There’s just a week left to have your say on how B.C.’s housing could be made safer and more affordable.
The public consultation was launched earlier this year, part of the Expert Panel on the Future of Housing Supply and Affordability’s work to identify ways to address B.C.’s housing crisis – which has made it difficult for home-owners and renters across the province to secure affordable housing in urban centres.
The independent panel was launched by the federal and provincial governments in September 2019.
Experts, organizations and residents can submit feedback on how B.C. can ensure more homes are available for purchase and rent, at engage.gove.bc.ca/housingaffordability. The deadline to submit is June 26.
The deadline, originally April 3, was extended due to COVID-19.
An interim report on the consultations will be posted online in the coming months, and a final report will be provided to the federal and provincial governments by the end of 2020.
