Scheduled power outages from Nov. 2 to 12 in Richmond

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from Nov. 2 to 12.

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work from Nov. 2 to 12.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled.

Nov. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 35 customers at:

  • 11602 to 11678 Kingswaybridge Dr.

Nov. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A transformer replacement will affect 15 customers at:

  • 5620 to 5677 Sandiford Pl.

Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A planned pole replacement will affect one customer at:

  • 21000 River Road

Nov. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 183 customers at:

  • 10155, 10177 and 10197 River Dr.

Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 50 customers at:

  • 6679, 6680, 6691, 6699, 6711, 6719, 6720, 6731, 6739, 6740, 6751, 6759 and 6760 Azure Rd.
  • 6031 to 6460 Nadine Cres.

Nov. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • Pedestrian crossing at 4700 block of Steveston Highway

Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect three customers at:

  • 12211, 12231 and 12291 Bridgeport Rd.

Nov. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 13 customers at:

  • 960 and 9611 Seameadow Crt.
  • 11400 to 11571 Seaport Ave.

Nov. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 81 customers at:

  • 23233 Gilley Rd.

Nov. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

A planned pole replacement will affect 32 customers at:

  • 3791 and 3980 Desmond Ave.
  • 9533 to 9960 No. 1 Rd.
  • 10011 to 10100 No. 1 Rd.
  • Peterson Gate and No. 1 Road
  • 3999 Williams Rd.

Nov. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 19 customers at:

  • 3971 and 3980 Desmond Ave.
  • 9533, 9551, 9599, 9611, 9619, 9631, 9633, 9651, 9659, 9671, 9691, 9699, 9880, 9900, 9940 and 9960 No 1 Rd. 

Nov. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect nine customers at:

  • 7320, 7331 and 7333 Bridge St.
  • 9662, 9668, 9680, 9682, 9686 and 9688 Shields Ave.
