Besides both being adorable, brothers Jordan and Aidan Wessels share another commonality. Both are actors and can be seen on stage at two of Vancouver's favourite summer theatre events - Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) at Malkin Bowl, Stanley Park and Bard on the Beach.
The Richmond siblings - Jordan, 11, and nine-year-old Aidan - have been performing for nearly two years now.
Jordan can be seen in the role of the son of MacDuff and Aidan appears in Music Man as Winthrop Paroo.
Jordan, who heads to Grade 6 in the fall, trained at Tarlington Training as well as The Gateway Theatre Academy for the Performing Arts. He has already garnered a nomination for a Young Artist Award for his role as Young Pip in Great Expectations. He has portrayed Ivan in All the Way Home for Electric Company and the child in Salmon Row for Mortal Coil Performance Society.
Following in his brother's footsteps, Aidan's passion for the performing arts is just as hot. Aidan is serious about his craft having trained at numerous acting schools, including Gateway Theatre Academy for the Performing Arts, Up! Dance and Theatre Company, Tarlington Training and The Arts Connection. Like his brother, Aidan's theatre credits also include All The Way Home and Salmon Row. He has commercial and film experience, as well.
The budding actors' father couldn't be happier for his sons.
"They had always performed shows at home and showed an interest in performing at an early age," Jeff Wessels said. "We encouraged them to pursue acting as they both really enjoyed performing and playing different characters."
Earlier this week, the siblings found out they've both been cast at the Arts Club on Granville Island in their production of It's A Wonderful Life, opening this December.
