Dear Editor,

Re: "Parents concerned over traffic safety around Richmond school zones"

I have been trying for years to have more enforcement of speeding drivers in school zones and surrounding roads.

In the Broadmoor area, people dropping off and or picking up their children at Errington elementary drive way too fast.

They will park anywhere they can and many do not even bother to make sure their kids are even buckled up before they go.

Broadmoor Boulevard is the go-to road for fast drives between Gilbert Road and No. 3 Road as it has no stop signs at intersections. The city installed some new stop signs during the summer, but many just cruise right through. I walk daily in this area and have yet to see any enforcement at all.

I mostly walk the back lanes due to the danger of being hit and the fact that there is only one sidewalk and little or no street lights on main roads but many in the back lanes.
