The BC Conservatives now have two candidates running in Richmond ridings in the fall election.
Steve Kooner, who runs a law firm in Surrey, has been named the candidate for Richmond-Queensborough.
He will be challenging the current MLA Aman Singh and will also be up against BC United candidate Pavan Bahia.
Michelle Molineaux is the BC Conservative candidate for Richmond-Steveston.
The provincial election is expected to be held on Oct. 19.
An online poll from April, conducted by Research Co, showed 45 per cent of decided voters would vote for the BC NDP, down one point since January.
The BC Conservatives are in second place with 27 per cent, followed by BC United, formerly the BC Liberals, at 15 per cent. The BC Green Party would garner 11 per cent.
The BC Conservatives have yet to name candidates for Richmond-Centre, currently called Richmond South Centre, and Richmond-Bridgeport, currently Richmond North Centre.
The online study was done between April 15 and 17 with 801 adults in B.C.
The margin of error is +/- 3.5 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
